In an episode of The Simpsons Moe tells Homer he is going on holidays to Easter Island, has been saving for it for years etc, to which Homer replies, 'Right, with the giant heads.' Moe says: 'The what?!'
New research indicates the depopulation of Easter Island may have been rat-related. This on top of the previous deforestation theories. But it's simple really: just look at those islanders. They're 20 feet tall, they weigh 10 tons, they're made out of stone. How do you think they had sex?
