Toads (cont.)

The Uzbek bibliographer toad. Specialises in: pointing out textual variants and inaccuracies in the work of Samuel Beckett; sticking straw up own bum for convenience of passers-by with handy bellows who dislike tight-arsed pedants, amphibians, any combination thereof, especially any combination thereof.

Dear Mr Beckett-expert. I was considering acquiring a copy of Beckett's poems, but had heard that (apart from the glitch you mention in the last post) there are some problems with the Calder edition. Is there a reliable edition out there do you know?
Yours toadily,

The mistakes in the Calder Poems 1930-1989 wouldn't be so annoying if it was at least available in paperback, which it isn't. I recommend getting the previous (paperback) Collected Poems and pasting in the poems it doesn't have.

I couldn't possibly claim to be a Beckett expert, by the way.

Though if any publisher fancied a reliable edition of Beckett's poems, I might just be able to help.

Well, Beckett-dilettante then. But thanks for the info anyway.
