I already knew that 13 April was the birthday of Samuel Beckett, Jacques Lacan, Georg Lukács and Seamus Heaney, but now I learn it's also the birthday of Rae Armantrout, the only one of these five whose name lends itself to a 'Duh'-style joke (used by Sean O'Brien, I think I remember) about Captain Beefheart.
Still, what a good date for literature all round. And Stalinism. And psychoanalytic obscurantism.
