Paperchase








Normally submissions to literary magazines are either accepted or rejected. When editing Horizon, Cyril Connolly pioneered a third way: the submission which is accepted for publication but never appears.

    my favourite is the kind that is rejected but which then appears anyway as a result of a gross editorial error. If only this would happen to me.
